Amber & Brad
Amber and Brad were clear about what mattered most to them when they began planning their wedding: guest experience and a true reflection of who they are. Their focus wasn’t on creating moments for the camera, but on creating an experience where guests felt welcomed from start to finish.
That clarity became our compass.
My role was to design wedding stationery that supported that experience. From the beginning, the paper details were approached as part of the larger celebration, meant to complement the setting rather than compete with it. A summer wedding at The Woodlands at Cottonwood Canyon provided the inspiration, with pine trees, mountain views, and the Montana Big Sky creating a backdrop that required no added embellishment.
Amber and Brad wanted every part of their celebration to engage their guests, not just visually, but through texture, scent, and interaction. Their invitation suite was designed to slow guests down and invite them into the experience well before their wedding day.
Pine-scented handmade paper reflected the Montana landscape, while the layered materials and botanical details encouraged guests to slow down and experience each piece. The custom map prepared them for the weekend ahead, and the lavender palette connected the stationery to the wildflowers surrounding The Woodlands at Cottonwood Canyon.
On the wedding day, the paper didn't start over. It continued the same visual language in new ways, allowing each piece to do its own job while remaining connected to everything that came before.
