As I plan to spend all day preparing a meal that will last 10 min (IYKYK, am I right? 😉), gratitude fills my heart for these two souls who own it completely. 🥰

My husband, Doug - my unwavering supporter, rock, and the calm in my storm. I can't imagine navigating this crazy journey we call life without his love by my side. He is my everything.

Our son, Ian - the absolute embodiment of pure, unconditional love. His kind heart and beautiful spirit inspire me EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. I'm eternally grateful for the love and light he brings into my life. 1. Cut all of your ribbon to length while your straightening iron is heating up.

🏞️💍 Picture this... In the heart of Montana, where the vast and endless sky meets the rugged and untamed terrain, you are married in a private ceremony but want to share your love with family and friends with a keepsake announcement - that is classic in design with a touch of Montana.

Now you may be wondering, how in the world do you do this? Is it even possible? Yes, 1000% yes, this is not only possible, but it is what I specialize in.

Katie and Brey were married in Glacier National Park, and this is exactly what we did for their keepsake announcements. The Montana details may seem obvious, hello mountains and Montana-shaped card, but I challenge you to look deeper. Montana is a place of raw beauty - where every sunset brings with it a sense of wonder, and every landscape is a symphony of color and texture. Now what do you see? There is an inherent elegance in the rustic contour of Montana - pair that with exquisite letterpress on the softest of cotton paper to bring in the texture of the Montana landscape while the stunningly soft shades of pink and yellow, well, have you ever seen a Montana sunset?

Here’s what I invite you to do….take a moment…imagine your guests receiving their keepsake invitation in the mail. We decide together what elements of your love you want to share with your guests, and then I do the heavy lifting. How far in advance should you order your wedding invitations? It’s a good question…and I get it all the time!

Invitation designers and stationers have a different timeline since all the preparation is done before your wedding day. Unlike other wedding professionals, we can work with couples who may share the same wedding date, so while there isn’t a mad dash to reserve your wedding stationery, there is still a time frame to keep in mind.

You'll want to reach out to your desired stationer before ordering to talk about your wedding invitation ideas beforehand. This will help ensure their timeline fits yours and their skill set(s) cover your desired items. Also, they can let you know if additional time is needed for the design/printing process. Want letterpress and/or foil stamping? This automatically adds 5-6 weeks to the printing process alone.

As a bride, you must keep track of many dates and information. Like most things, there is an “ideal” amount of time for the invitation process, but every couple has a different amount of time to work with. Whether your wedding is in three months or three years, this breakdown will help you decipher when to start your invitation design process.
