Carlina & Michael
Carlina and Michael's vision for their Don Cesar Hotel wedding was simple: create a space that was a true reflection of them: classic, welcoming, and vibrant. Although their celebration took place in December, they wanted the atmosphere to feel festive without becoming a Christmas wedding. Emerald, gold, and red provided richness and warmth while allowing the historic setting of the Don Cesar Hotel to remain the focal point.
That same approach carried through the day. Candlelit tables, emerald-green seating, and red-and-white florals created a festive atmosphere without being overwhelming.
Every design decision supported the overall experience while allowing the venue, the season, and the people gathered together to take center stage. Guests didn’t just attend, but entered a moment designed to support the couple and invite everyone in.
The invitation suite introduced the celebration with gold foil pressed into emerald green velvet. Hand-calligraphed envelopes added a personal touch, while the navy envelope liner featured a custom gold foil pattern inspired by the Don Cesar Hotel's iconic lobby bar and was echoed again in the chair backs at the reception.
That same attention to detail carried over to the wedding day paper. Menus and place cards drew on the invitation suite through color and typography. Instead of repeating the same design, each piece related back to the collection, creating continuity throughout the celebration while allowing every paper good to stand on its own.
