A Joyful Celebration: Carlina and Michael’s Winter Christmas Wedding at the Don Cesar

Gold foil wedding invitation for a winter Christmas wedding at the Don Cesar Hotel, Florida.

When Carlina and Michael envisioned their winter Christmas wedding at the iconic Don Cesar, they knew they wanted something magical—but with a twist. Instead of leaning on traditional Christmas colors, we went for a palette that felt fresh, elegant, and totally them. Think navy blue, emerald green, and just the right touches of red and gold. Add to that luxurious white florals everywhere, and the result was a dreamy, festive vibe that felt like pure winter magic.

Come along as I dive into all the stunning details from their special day, and you’ll find inspiration for your own unforgettable winter Christmas wedding.

The Perfect Setting – A Winter Christmas Wedding at the Don Cesar

Nicknamed the “Pink Palace,” the Don Cesar Hotel in St. Pete Beach, Florida, was the perfect venue for Carlina and Michael’s winter Christmas wedding.

This coastal landmark provided a dreamy backdrop for their celebration. From the grand ballroom to the sparkling view of the Gulf, every inch of this stunning venue effortlessly reflected their sophisticated and festive vision. From the moment guests stepped through its doors, they were swept into a world of holiday-inspired magic and romance.

Defying Tradition: A Sparkling Blue and Green Wedding Palette

Carlina and Michael’s wedding was a masterclass in how to embrace the magic of the season without relying on the typical reds and greens associated with Christmas. Instead, they opted for navy blue and emerald green as the foundation, accented with pops of gold and red to infuse the event with warmth and richness. This color combination added depth and richness to the decor while capturing the warmth and joy of the season. It was a fresh, modern twist on traditional Christmas hues—both festive and sophisticated, perfectly balancing seasonal charm with timeless elegance.

A Wedding Invitation as Chic as the Don Cesar Itself

Carlina and Michael’s wedding invitation suite was a true showstopper, setting the stage for their festive winter Christmas wedding at the Don Cesar. The main invitation, with its gold foil lettering on deep green velvet, wasn’t just beautiful; it was an experience. The rich, velvety texture felt as luxurious as it looked, and the deep green shade was no coincidence—it mirrored the plush fabric of their reception chairs, seamlessly weaving their wedding design together from the very start.

Adding to the intentional details, the envelope liner featured a gold foil pattern inspired by the newly refurbished lobby bar at the Don Cesar. This subtle yet meaningful nod to the venue tied the suite to the couple’s stunning setting, blending Art Deco sophistication with modern elegance. The shimmering gold script on the invitation added just the right amount of festive flair, striking the perfect balance between timeless charm and holiday magic. From the moment guests received their invitations, they knew they were in for something extraordinary.

Elegance in Every Detail: Carlina and Michael’s Wedding Day Looks

Carlina and Michael’s wedding attire was a perfect reflection of their style and personalities – classic with a modern twist. Michael looked sharp in his navy blue tuxedo, a refined alternative to the traditional black. But the real showstopper? The unexpected pop of deep red lining inside his jacket—a bold and stylish detail that felt both festive and personal.

Carlina was an absolute dream in her off-the-shoulder lace wedding gown. Her look was made even more breathtaking by a breathtaking cathedral-length train—a masterpiece of intricate lace that flowed effortlessly behind her, making every step feel like a grand entrance.

Friends and family celebrated with joyful toasts, heartfelt moments, and a packed dance floor that stayed lively all evening. And as the night wound down, guests were treated to the sweetest surprise—late-night donuts, the perfect indulgent treat to keep the celebration going.

This is the third message we've received from family and friends regarding our invitation design, after sending our invites out just a week ago. It's hard enough these days getting people to return their RSVPs for weddings, but to have people go out of their way to compliment the details, is incredible.
