Create a polished look and add a touch of elegance with professionally printed envelopes. Envelope addressing and printing options are available for all stationery that includes envelopes. Black, color or white ink printing are available depending on the color of envelope you choose.
DOUBLE INVITATION ENVELOPES
Double invitation envelopes, also called inner and outer envelopes, are the more formal and traditional of your addressing options. The outer envelope contains the guest’s mailing addresses while the inner envelope states exactly who is invited. If your wedding is black tie, classic, or just all-around formal, you may want to stick with having both sets of envelopes to abide by wedding etiquette. Your invitation suite will be absolutely gorgeous for sure, but do you know how impressive two sets of envelopes are? They help set the tone for your event.
INNER ENVELOPE
The inner envelope is used to hold your invitation suite and lists your guest’s names, creating an intimate and personalized feel for your wedding. By using an inner envelope you are able clearly state who is invited, and by omission, who is not. Inner envelopes help eliminate the potential for any awkward questions regarding your guest list. This is especially helpful for “adult only” events.
If using wax seals on your envelopes, they would be adhered to your inner envelope, allowing the outer envelope to be an extra layer of protection.
Standard Size: A7 Envelope (5.125″x7.125″)
OUTER ENVELOPE
The outer envelope is used for mailing. It lists the household name and address of your guest’s on the front of the envelope. Optionally, your return address can be printed on the back flap of the outer envelope.

RESPONSE ENVELOPE
For response envelopes, your name and address will be printed on the front of the envelope in fonts that match your chosen design, making it easy for your guests to return their response cards.

SINGLE INVITATION ENVELOPES
Single envelopes are the more modern way to mail wedding invitations. If your wedding is laid-back and intimate, maybe you’re looking to invest your stationery dollars in letterpress instead (good choice, girlfriend!), or maybe you’re just not looking to use more paper than you have to, then single invitation envelopes may be the best option for you.
Good news – all Seventh and Anderson invitations come with a single envelope as the standard option.
GUEST ADDRESSING
Your guest’s names and mailing address is are printed on the front of the envelope in fonts that match your chosen design.

Your return address is printed on the back flap of the envelope. Names are optional.
HOW TO ORDER
Ordering is easy! Simply make your selections during the personalization step of the checkout process. For guest addressing or name printing, you can upload your completed spreadsheet at the time of order.
If you need more time to gather addresses or finalize your guest list, no worries! You can also email your completed templates to janeil@seventhandanderson.com.
PLEASE NOTE: You must use the provided templates for your envelopes. This helps ensure your template is formatted correctly prior to being imported. Incorrectly formatted templates will be returned for correction and may delay the delivery of your final order.
